How could VFILES, a renowned fashion platform, make a groundbreaking statement at New York Fashion Week? The brand’s ambition was to deliver a high-octane, fashion experience at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn to give global, crowdsourced talent a platform. VFILES teamed up with the popular social shopping app, Depop, to launch a runway show that would redefine fashion events. TAIT rose to the challenge, transforming the partners’ vision into reality, creating a spectacle that would captivate attendees and set an iconic new standard for fashion shows.
We built a multi-sensory environment that fused fashion, music, and culture. Over 50 models showcased the work of designers Pierre-Louis Auvray, Di Du, Wesley Harriott and Nico Verhaegen in front of 3,000 eager attendees. Bold graphics, cutting-edge lighting, and dynamic video effects turned the Barclays Center into a captivating scene. The arena's jumbotron, repurposed as a stage-level scenic element, displayed striking visuals. The LED ribbon pulsed with energy, amplifying the show's messaging and electrifying the crowd during performances by Rico Nasty, Erika Jayne and Brooke Candy, and YG, with DJ A-Trak keeping the flow of the show on track.
The event redefined what a fashion show could be, creating an unforgettable experience that resonated with a global audience. The collaboration between VFILES and Depop amplified emerging designers' voices, giving them a platform to reach new heights, and the show produced zero landfill, using rental equipment to deliver a stunning, sustainable show.
