The Trilogy Tour is a step inside of Melanie Martinez’s twisted wonderland full of dollhouses, playgrounds, and unusual fairy tale forests. TAIT partnered with the production and creative team to capture the themes of Melanie’s vibrant world and recreate the artwork of her latest album PORTALS with a moss-covered stage design and automated elements that elevate the video content.

The show explores her three studio albums through a different act for each record. It opens with her album Cry Baby as she starts the performance singing while elevated on our lift. The Cry Baby act also features our custom two-headed rabbit prop that moves up and down with the video content to look like she’s riding on a carousel. During her K-12 act, Melanie and a dancer sit on two different TAIT lifts, so it coincides with the video to visually appear as if they are riding on a seesaw. For the closing PORTALS act, Melanie turns into her four-eyed celestial character, and the show transitions into content that embraces our scenically treated cottage-core stage.

The work the TAIT team created ultimately pulled off the aesthetic the production were looking for, and met the vision Melanie wanted to entertain her fans on The Trilogy Tour.
