Google was building a new center to host conversations about the future of technology and business for audiences including Google’s customers, partners, and employees. We set out to design a flexible, thought-provoking space that playfully combined sensory elements inspired by Google’s own user-focused design and technology– thus, the Grove Google Experience Center was born.

The Grove blends architecture, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and is a great place to have a new idea. Aptly named, Google’s Experience Center is a consistently themed ecosystem inspired by the sights, sounds, and aromas of the surrounding redwood forest grove. Circadian lighting, air-dispersed fragrances, and considered designs create a calm-yet-inspiring environment for days spent working, conversing, and thinking.
This harmonious, user-focused Grove Google Experience Center was exciting to design as a way to showcase Google’s position at the cutting edge of technology while also immersing guests into the Google experience.
