The Wells Fargo Center’s transformation in 2020 called for a futuristic scoreboard to bring fans even closer to the game. TAIT brought build, execution, and automation capabilities in partnership with ANC to bring this vision to life for the Wells Fargo Center scoreboard.
Calling it a scoreboard is a bit of an undersell. Spectacular LED screens with unbelievable resolution face the audience in all directions, so that all eyes can see Wells Fargo Center’s new scoreboard . Crown trusses on either side capable of vertical movement enable creators to play with motion, pyrotechnics, lighting, and video all at once to create spectacular moments.
Speaking of mobility, the crown trusses on the Wells Fargo scoreboard can move at a speed of 4ft per second, fully automated and controlled with precision by TAIT Navigator. Onboard pyrotechnics punctuate astonishing athleticism and stirs fans to roar. When not in use, the scoreboard tucks neatly into the grid before its next time to shine.

It was an honor to create such a magnificent display in a city with such amazing sports history. We’re happy to bring TAIT innovation and meticulousness of craft to build on the already incredible player/fan connection in Philadelphia, and hope that the Wells Fargo Center continues to wow attendees with its scoreboard throughout years to come.
