As the oldest law enforcement agency in the US, the United States Marshals have a rich and complex history. To tell the agency’s story, we needed to create a museum that could showcase both the historic and modern worlds of the US Marshals – one that immersed visitors interactive narrative that wove in key moments from the Marshals' history and kept viewers engaged with a variety of captivating multimedia elements.
For the US Marshal’s Museum in Fort Smith, AR, TAIT took on the challenge of designing, producing, and delivering the entire guest experience across the 50,000 square feet of exhibits, including handling all media production, interactives, and technology integration. Our team’s goal was to provide visitors with a firsthand understanding of what it means to be a US Marshal by creating an inclusive space in which guests could engage with challenging and serious moments in the nation’s history while also balancing the experience with the larger-than-life of the Marshals.
We brought authentic storytelling to core museum experiences like “The Campfire – Stories Under the Stars” and invested our efforts in authentic placemaking, personalized visitor interactives and dynamic media and exhibits. To give US Marshal Museum visitors as complete an experience as possible, we divided the museum into six zones, each with its own unique interactives and stories, all from different periods in marshal history.
