When Lady Gaga conceived the tour for her 2020 album Chromatica, her goal was to create an otherworldly spectacle that went beyond a traditional concert experience. TAIT was tasked with turning this artistic vision into reality, crafting a multi-level stage with integrated automation that transported audiences to Gaga’s Chromatica universe.
Our team in Lititz, PA, handled the design, while the crew in Wakefield, UK, fabricated the scenic assets. These included an A-stage with an upstage turntable and a multifunctional B-stage equipped with a performer lift. We built a host of scenically treated ‘distressed concrete’ elements that aesthetically aligned with the Chromatica theme and provided a fitting backdrop to Gaga’s stunning array of costumes.

The Chromatica Ball Tour marked a commercial and artistic resurgence for a true pop icon, playing to packed arenas across Europe, North America, and Asia before culminating with a celebratory finale in Miami in September 2022. Critics praised the tour's mind-bending visuals with Vice hailing it “a once-in-a-lifetime show for a once-in-a-generation artist”.
