C3, formerly Founders Entertainment, best known for delivering New York City’s iconic Governors Ball Music Festival, had a vision for a new annual music festival set by the seashore in Connecticut. TAIT was approached to conceive, develop a master plan, and deliver an elevated music festival that would engage C3’s target audience and provide them with a truly memorable experience.

The venue featured craft breweries, cocktail bars, and a curated wine grove, alongside gourmet food offerings from local eateries. Audience members enjoyed ping pong, foosball, and giant Jenga – or captured memories at the selfie station. Elegant drapery formed tented areas that provided a respite from the sun, intertwined with trumpet vines and bougainvillea, whose blooms added pops of color.
At its heart, Sound on Sound was a celebration of music. Two stages played host to a stunning line-up of big-name artists including Stevie Nicks, Dave Matthews, The Lumineers, The National, Band of Horses, and The Roots.
The inaugural Sound on Sound Festival was a hit, attracting over 50,000 fans over the course of two days. The event embraced the community, too, showcasing local performers and providing support for charities such as the Adam J. Lewis Academy and Make-A-Wish Connecticut. Sound on Sound was warmly welcomed back for another festival in 2023.
