As Rodeo Houston embarked on its 86th season, the goal was to make the experience more immersive and spectacular than ever before. The Board of Trustees sought to enhance the concert presentation with a stage that would not only capture attention but also provide a larger-than-life experience for fans. They turned to TAIT to create a stage design that would set a new standard for live events.

TAIT engineered and manufactured a 126-foot-wide, star-shaped stage, which became the literal and figurative star of the show. The innovative design featured a 48-foot rotating central deck surrounded by five star points, each extending 36 feet. These points can lift and lower individually or in unison, all controlled by TAIT's cutting-edge Navigator automation system. This setup enables the stage to autonomously drive on and off the NRG Stadium floor.
TAIT's stage design went beyond its visual impact by incorporating world-class technology. The Navigator system communicated precise location data to the stage, allowing it to seamlessly position itself at the stadium's center. Complementing the stage was TAIT's NavCam, an aerial camera system installed at the north end of the stadium. Controlled by Navigator, the NavCam captured dynamic video content in real-time, tracking the movement of the stage’s star points as they rose and fell.

The new star-shaped stage and advanced video capabilities transformed Rodeo Houston's performances into an immersive spectacle, thrilling both fans and performers.
