When The Prodigy returned to playing arenas for the first time since the loss of vocalist Keith Flint, the band wanted to deliver an electrifying live show. Having worked with the electronic dance music pioneers for many years, TAIT was perfectly placed to provide an unforgettable statement scenic piece for the band’s intense performances.

For The Prodigy's Army Of The Ants tour across the UK and Europe, we created a five-meter-high sculpture, nicknamed "Rayman", which towered over the crowd at each venue. As a tribute to Keith, a laser projector built into Rayman's head projected a silhouette of his iconic "Firestarter" dance onto the backdrop of the stage.

Our scenic team moved rapidly from concept to wax maquette model to finished aluminum and steel sculpture. Rayman’s sheer size meant that some ingenious design was needed to make the sculpture tourable. We created a folding mechanism at Rayman’s waist, folding the sculpture over on itself to ensure it could be moved easily from venue to venue.
The Army of the Ants tour was rapturously received by fans and critics, reaffirming The Prodigy as one of the most inventive and groundbreaking acts of the rave generation.
