To promote the second season of its hit crime drama Animal Kingdom, TNT wanted an immersive activation that aligned with the sustainable ethos of the South by Southwest festival. TAIT partnered with Civic Entertainment Group to bring the fictional Cody Beach, California, to the streets of Austin, Texas – a pop-up experience that created a lasting positive impact.

The Animal Kingdom Texas activation included a sneaker bar, a live graffiti wall, a beer garden with food trucks, and the crown jewel – a real-life surfing simulator. What truly set this event apart was a rigorous sustainability program aimed at reducing waste and carbon emissions.
We partnered with Austin Creative Reuse and the Austin Materials Marketplace to identify recipients for the production's donations and succeeded in finding a home for 100% of the furniture and decor elements from the event.
The result? A killer activation for TNT, resources for Austin non-profits and less waste for the planet. Cody Beach’s success was highlighted by positive coverage in BuzzFeed and Complex, and a BizBash Award for Best Sustainability / Corporate Social Responsibility.
